Shimon Schocken

Shimon Schocken has held a variety of positions in the academic and technology fields. Shimon began their career in 1985 as a Professor at New York University. In 1995, they moved to Reichman University (IDC Herzliya) to become a Professor there. From 2005 to 2012, they served as a Visiting Professor at Harvard University and Stanford University. In 2012, they Co Founded Matific and also served as a Visiting Professor at Stanford University. Shimon will begin their new role as a Visiting Professor at Princeton University in 2022.

Shimon Schocken received their Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Computer Science from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1980. Shimon then went on to earn a Master of Business Administration from Indiana University Bloomington in 1982. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy in Operations Research from The Wharton School in 1985.
