Amr Abbas is a distinguished legal professional with extensive experience in arbitration and legal advisory roles. Currently serving as Partner and Head of Arbitration at Matouk Bassiouny since October 2015, Amr also holds the position of Lecturer at Cairo University since 2001. Previously, Amr has worked as a Legal Advisor at the Egyptian Competition Authority, Partner at Sharkawy & Sarhan, and International Attorney at White & Case. Their career includes serving as Counsel at The World Bank and Associate at Ibrachy & Dermarkar Law Firm. Amr Abbas holds a PhD in International Financial and Investment Law from Queen Mary, University of London, as well as multiple law degrees, including an LLM from The George Washington University Law School and a Master of Laws from Cairo University.
