Anna Hammond

Founder|CEO at Matriark Foods

Anna Hammond has a long and varied career in the arts and food industry. Anna began their career in 1997 as the Director of Writing Services for The Museum of Modern Art. In 2002, they became the Deputy Director at Yale University Art Gallery. In 2010, they were appointed Executive Director at The Sylvia Center. Most recently, in 2018, they founded and became the CEO of Matriark Foods, a company that seeks to utilize excess and increase access.

Anna Hammond completed a Certificate in Biodynamic Agriculture at The Pfeiffer Center in 2010. Prior to that, they earned an M.F.A. in Painting from Hunter College in 1995. Anna also obtained an A.B.D. in South Asian Languages and Literatures from the University of Chicago in 1990, and a B.A. in Classics and Classical Archaeology from the University of Michigan in 1983.
