Stephanie Soetendal

Stephanie Soetendal has a diverse work experience that spans over a decade. Stephanie is currently the Founder and CEO of Matrix Holograms, an Ed-Tech start-up focused on revolutionizing education through AI-powered holograms. Stephanie conceptualized the idea of incorporating artificial intelligence into holograms and has successfully developed and managed the overall operations, resources, and strategic partnerships of the company. Stephanie self-funded the research and development of the proof of concept and front-end development, and also served as the Curriculum Developer for the Algebra 1 Pilot. Stephanie has been recognized as a guest speaker at IBM Poughkeepsie, a webinar guest speaker for IBM Client Engineering at MIT IBM AI Watson Labs, and a panelist for Women in Tech at IBM Dowell. Stephanie was also interviewed at Davos and was a US finalist in the UN-AI for Good competition.

Before Matrix Holograms, Stephanie founded and served as the Chief Executive Officer of Matrix Tutors, a virtual 1-on-1 tutoring company that focuses on the tailored curriculum and personal development of students in grades 6-12. Stephanie played a key role in developing the concept, managing operations, and creating the curriculum.

Stephanie's earlier experiences include volunteering at The Little Lighthouse Foundation, working as a tutor at Varsity Tutors where they taught various subjects including pre-calculus, geometry, physics, algebra, and SAT/ACT test prep. Stephanie also worked as a Curriculum Developer at Kumon North America, Inc. and briefly served as the Director of Sylvan Learning Center. Additionally, Stephanie has previous experience as a mathematics and SAT tutor at Sylvan Learning Center.

Stephanie Soetendal completed their high school education at American Heritage Schools - Broward Campus and The Sagemont School, earning a High School Diploma. In 2009, they participated in the Secondary School Program (SSP) at Harvard University. Stephanie then pursued a Bachelor of Architecture degree from 2012 to 2015 at the Academy of Art University. In 2010, they attended New York University, studying Art History, Criticism, and Conservation. In 2022, Stephanie obtained a degree named "IBM Cohort 2022" in Artificial Intelligence from MassChallenge. Stephanie is currently enrolled at Harvard University since 2023, focusing on Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies.
