Stephanie Soetendal has a diverse work experience that spans over a decade. Stephanie is currently the Founder and CEO of Matrix Holograms, an Ed-Tech start-up focused on revolutionizing education through AI-powered holograms. Stephanie conceptualized the idea of incorporating artificial intelligence into holograms and has successfully developed and managed the overall operations, resources, and strategic partnerships of the company. Stephanie self-funded the research and development of the proof of concept and front-end development, and also served as the Curriculum Developer for the Algebra 1 Pilot. Stephanie has been recognized as a guest speaker at IBM Poughkeepsie, a webinar guest speaker for IBM Client Engineering at MIT IBM AI Watson Labs, and a panelist for Women in Tech at IBM Dowell. Stephanie was also interviewed at Davos and was a US finalist in the UN-AI for Good competition.
Before Matrix Holograms, Stephanie founded and served as the Chief Executive Officer of Matrix Tutors, a virtual 1-on-1 tutoring company that focuses on the tailored curriculum and personal development of students in grades 6-12. Stephanie played a key role in developing the concept, managing operations, and creating the curriculum.
Stephanie's earlier experiences include volunteering at The Little Lighthouse Foundation, working as a tutor at Varsity Tutors where they taught various subjects including pre-calculus, geometry, physics, algebra, and SAT/ACT test prep. Stephanie also worked as a Curriculum Developer at Kumon North America, Inc. and briefly served as the Director of Sylvan Learning Center.
