Monique Phillips, MPA has a range of experience in fund development, marketing, and nonprofit management. Monique currently holds the position of Vice President of Development & Marketing at Matrix Human Services, where they are responsible for planning and implementing strategic communication plans and enhancing the agency's brand awareness. Before joining Matrix, Monique worked as the CEO of MP Consulting Group, where they provided strategic advice and support to nonprofit organizations. Their responsibilities included coordinating events, prospecting and writing grant proposals, providing training on fundraising techniques, and advising on organizational changes. Monique has also held roles at the Anti-Defamation League and the City of Detroit, where they facilitated stewardship, leadership, and corporate social responsibility programs. In addition, Monique has experience in donor database management and grant coordination from their time at Families First. Monique is an active member of the National Forum for Black Public Administrators and has also served as the President of PASA at Clark Atlanta University.

Monique Phillips, MPA, completed their education with a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree in Public Policy from Clark Atlanta University, graduating in the year 2014. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Oakland University, specializing in Mass Communication/Media Studies, and graduated in 2009. Monique's educational journey began at Lewis Cass Technical High School, where they studied Natural Sciences, earning their degree in Natural and Environmental Sciences in 2005.
