Joseph Buchanan

Joe brings a wealth of both clinical and executive expertise to Matrix. In his role, he is responsible for driving provider engagement, clinical education, and implementing key initiatives to support Matrix clinicians and streamline and enhance their patient care.

Prior to joining Matrix, Joe was the Senior Vice President, Network and Clinical Operations at CareCentrix where he designed, implemented, and grew community-based palliative care programs for Medicare Advantage and commercial health plans. He also served in clinical leadership roles at Optum and Genesis Healthcare.

Joe holds an Executive Master of Business Administration from Drexel University in Philadelphia and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
