Larry F. Johnston Sr

Larry F. Johnston Sr is an experienced construction professional with a robust background in project management and construction oversight. Currently serving as a Senior Project Sponsor at Matrix Service Company since 2012, Johnston has previously held the position of Construction Manager at Jacobs, managing a $2.3 billion mine expansion project. At Aker Kvaerner Metals from 1997 to 2011, Johnston oversaw the construction of a $150 million sulfuric acid plant in Arizona, leading a direct hire team of over 400 employees. Additionally, during a tenure at Kennecott Utah Copper from 1985 to 1997, Johnston served as Construction Superintendent and Construction Manager, successfully managing teams and contractors to achieve optimal operational capacity for a new smelter.
