Quader Asif

Quader Asif has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Quader started their career as a Junior Engineer at SWMC in 1999. Quader then worked as an Environmental Engineer 2 at Finkbeiner, Pettis and Strout Inc., where they focused on designing components of water and wastewater treatment plants, implementing stormwater management and erosion control measures, and designing pumps for transporting water and wastewater.

In 2000, Asif became a Research Associate at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, where they investigated the mercury transport phenomenon from sediments in a laboratory-scale experiment and applied numerical analysis to justify the laboratory results.

From 2001 to 2002, they worked at McMaster University as a Research Associate, where they performed research on channel-forming discharge for stream restoration projects. Their work involved applying advanced statistical procedures and hydrologic modeling, resulting in multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals.

In 2007, Asif joined MMM Group as a Water Resources Engineer, where they conducted hydrologic analysis to determine peak flows using various hydrologic models and performed hydraulic analysis of bridges and culverts using HEC-RAS, Flowmaster, and Culvertmaster.

Asif then joined Matrix Solutions, Inc. in 2014 as a Senior Project Engineer. Their responsibilities included conducting fluvial geomorphic assessments, natural channel design, erosion analyses, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, and stream restoration and design.

Additionally, Asif has lectured at McMaster Mohawk Linkage Program as a Lecturer from 2012 to 2013.

Additionally, Asif has obtained certifications in WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) and TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods).
