Sam Bellamy

Sam Bellamy has extensive experience in the water resources and environmental field. Sam started their career as a Water Resource Engineer at the Grand River Conservation Authority from 1999 to 2005. Sam then joined AquaResource as a Senior Water Resource Engineer in 2006, where they played a key role in expanding the company's capabilities and served as a project manager and mentor to junior staff. AquaResource later merged with Matrix Solutions Inc. in 2012.

At Matrix Solutions Inc., Sam has held various leadership roles. From 2006 to 2019, they served as a Senior Water Resource Engineer and contributed to the company's growth and development. In 2019, they were appointed as the Vice President of Eastern Operations and Principal Water Resources Engineer, where they provided operational leadership and technical support to a team of biologists, engineers, and technicians in Ontario. Sam also served on the Board of Directors of Matrix Solutions Inc. from 2019 to 2021.

Currently, Sam holds the position of Vice President of Calgary Water & Ontario Operations and Principal Water Resources Engineer at Matrix Solutions Inc. In this role, they lead a diverse group of over 100 field staff, ecologists, hydrogeologists, and CAD designers, working on challenging water and environmental issues in the Calgary region. Sam is responsible for health and safety performance, profit and loss tracking, budget setting, and executing regional growth plans.

Sam Bellamy attended Crestwood Secondary School from 1990 to 1995. However, no information is available about the degree or field of study obtained during this period. After completing secondary school, they went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Guelph. Sam studied Water Resources Engineering and completed their degree in 1999.
