Dustin Cañez

Dustin Cañez is a Senior Project Management Associate at Mattel, Inc., responsible for overseeing activations for Barbie since May 2023. Previously, as the Assistant Creative Project Manager and Creative Director at VideoOut from September 2020 to March 2023, Dustin produced seven educational short films and led diverse production teams. As Co-Founder, Director, and Producer at Sad Alpaca Productions, Dustin established a brand for independent films, directing and producing three web series and three short films. Experience also includes managerial roles at Buck Mason, where Dustin managed retail expansions, and Restoration Hardware, enhancing guest experiences that generated significant sales. Additional artistic roles encompass staging the opera at various institutions, and Dustin earned a Bachelor's degree in Theatre: Direction, Design, and Management from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
