Jim Walter

Jim Walter is the Owner of JJW Consulting, a position held since August 2018, specializing in consulting services and expert witness testimony related to quality, safety, and regulatory compliance for toys and children's products. Concurrently, Jim Walter has served as the Senior Vice President of Global Product Integrity and Chief Regulatory Officer at Mattel since June 1996, overseeing worldwide product quality, safety, and compliance for the leading global toy company. Formerly the Senior Vice President of Worldwide Quality Assurance at Mattel, Jim Walter also leads initiatives concerning sustainability and factory working conditions. Additionally, Jim Walter is a former Chairman and current member of the Toy Industry Association Safety Standards & Technical Committee. Prior experience includes serving as the Technical Director, International at ACTS Testing Labs from 1990 to 1996. Jim Walter holds an MBA in Finance from the University at Buffalo, earned between 1990 and 1994.
