Steve Totzke

Chief Commercial Officer at Mattel

Steve Totzke is Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of Mattel. He oversees the Company’s global commercial operations and is responsible for driving Mattel’s growth in markets worldwide. Steve was promoted to the role in August 2018, and, under his commercial leadership, Mattel has been named the top global toy company for the past two years and has also maintained its spot as the top toy company in the U.S., an honor it has held for the past 26 years.*

Over his more than twenty years with Mattel, Steve has held a variety of leadership roles. Most recently, he was Executive Vice President, Commercial for North America, with responsibility for the commercial execution, sales and merchandising strategy for the region. Previously, Steve was Senior Vice President, U.S. Sales and Shopper Marketing where he led the teams responsible for sales, shopper marketing, insights and analytics, consumer products and retail services. Steve has also served in several international leadership positions during his tenure with the Company. He was Vice President and General Manager of Mattel's operations in Australia where he was a key member of the Asia-Pacific leadership team, playing a pivotal role in the Company’s expansion into Greater China, India, Japan and Korea. Prior to that, Steve was Vice President, Sales and Customer Service for the Canadian market.

Earlier in his career, Steve spent three years at Spin Master Corporation where he was Vice President, North American Sales. He also held a variety of sales roles during a previous tenure at Mattel.

Steve received an MBA from Pepperdine University, Graziadio School of Business and Management and was named a 2019-2020 Notable Alumni by the university. He is an executive committee member of the Board of Directors for the Toy Association and sits on the advisory board for the Women in Toys Association.
