Christopher Poile

Christopher Poile is a Senior Software Design Engineer at Mattermost since April 2019, currently working with the Core Server team using Go and SQL. Previously, Christopher was part of the Calls team, utilizing technologies such as WebRTC, React Native, Go, and JavaScript. Before joining Mattermost, a sabbatical was taken from August 2017 to March 2019. Christopher served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Saskatchewan from July 2008 to June 2017, where notable achievements included developing four experimental systems and earning a Best Paper Award, alongside over 20 publications. Christopher was also a PhD Research Intern at Microsoft Research in the summer of 2007. Academic qualifications include a PhD, a MASc in Management Science, a Bachelor's in Economics, and a Bachelor's in Computer Science, all from the University of Waterloo.
