Matthew Zinn

Matthew Zinn currently serves as the Chief Legal Officer at Matterport, leading the legal and compliance efforts for a company specializing in the digitization of the built environment. Zinn has extensive experience in legal leadership roles across several organizations, including serving as Chief Legal Officer at 8x8, where management spanned legal, privacy, and information security functions, and as General Counsel at Jaunt VR, overseeing worldwide legal affairs for a platform dedicated to virtual and augmented reality experiences. Zinn's previous tenure at TiVo involved significant oversight of legal affairs and government relations, including major patent litigation cases against prominent companies. In addition to professional roles, Zinn is an active member of the Board of Directors at KQED, serving on various committees focused on audit and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Zinn earned a JD from The George Washington University Law School and holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Vermont, along with completing an Executive Program on Negotiations at Harvard University.
