Jedediah Hanes, MA has varied work experience in the fields of social services and ministry. Jedediah currently serves as a Deacon In Full Connection for The United Methodist Church. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Operations for Matthew 25, Inc., where they were responsible for the day-to-day operations and staffing of a nonprofit organization that supports men experiencing homelessness. Jedediah also served as an Associate Minister to Youth and Families for First UMC Dickson, TN, where they provided leadership in youth ministry and pastoral care. Additionally, they worked as a Graduate Resident at CYMT and as an Assistant Front End Manager at The Fresh Market. Earlier in their career, they served as the Director of Youth Ministry at Madison First United Methodist in Madison, GA.
Jedediah Hanes, MA, pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Youth Ministry from Memphis Theological Seminary. Jedediah attended the seminary from 2015 to 2018, dedicating their studies to the field of Youth Ministry. Prior to that, they completed an AS - BS degree in Culinary Arts - Food Service Management at Johnson & Wales University. This four-year undergraduate program, which they completed from 2004 to 2008, equipped Jedediah with the necessary skills and knowledge in culinary arts and food service management.

As a Christian nonprofit, Matthew 25 draws deeply from the life and teachings of Christ. Our work and mission are founded on His lessons of love, compassion and hospitality. It is out of a conviction in these teachings that we seek to offer Christ-centered care to our brothers facing the despair and hardships of poverty, homelessness and addiction. By doing so to “the least of these,” we join in Christ’s mission to offer help and hope to a broken and hurting world. More than a shelter, we are a Nashville-based, residential facility that provides Housing, Help and Hope to homeless men in need. Our service-intensive transitional housing program offers a safe, sober and supportive living environment for men wanting to turn their lives around. We serve these men daily by providing beds, meals, counseling, job placement services and more.
