David Hays

David Hays is an experienced professional in environmental health and safety, currently serving as an Environmental Health Safety Intern at Matthews International since February 2020. In this role, David has coordinated with executive leadership and EHS site leads to develop return-to-work strategies, supplied necessary PPE and thermometers to global sites, and conducted virtual compliance audits during the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to Matthews International, David interned at The Walt Disney Company, where responsibilities included performing LOTO procedures, conducting safety evaluations, and creating job aides for maintenance staff. Earlier experience at Target involved unloading products and providing customer service. David holds a degree from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, completed in 2019.
