Jennifer Mendez has over 25 years of work experience in the arts and education sector. Jennifer started their career in 1991 as a Playground Arts & Crafts Coordinator for the KCMO Parks and Recreation Department. Jennifer then moved on to the Kansas City Missouri School District, where they worked as a Paraprofessional/Substitute Teacher from 1991 to 1996. In 1996, Jennifer joined Mattie Rhodes and began their long-term employment with the organization. Jennifer initially served as an Art Center Director, overseeing various programs and exhibitions. In 2009, they were promoted to Cultural Arts Director, responsible for daily operations and community partnerships.
