Layla Chamberlin

Layla Chamberlin is an experienced environmental professional with a background in program coordination, recycling, and waste management. Currently serving as the Northern California Program Coordinator for the Mattress Recycling Council, Layla focuses on expanding mattress collection networks, compliance audits, and community outreach. Previously at Republic Services, Layla led waste generation assessments and developed a Sustainable Packaging Guide. Other roles include a Communications and Research Intern at Food Shift, which involved food recovery initiatives, and a Naturalist with Tree Frog Treks, where Layla taught environmental science to children. Layla holds a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science and Rhetoric from the University of California, Berkeley.
