At Matty's Promise, our mission is to bring comfort, connection, and hope - funding new research, supporting families through their toughest days, and spreading awareness to make a difference. Every donation directly supports osteosarcoma research and families in need, turning compassion into action.

Matty’s Promise is inspired by Matt — and carried forward by his family.

In 2022, at just 18 years old, Matt Torgersen was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of bone cancer. Through every challenge, his strength and compassion never wavered. Even in his final days, unable to speak, he wrote: “Find a cure. Help people. Foundation in my name.”

​Matty’s Promise was created by his mother Lisa, his father Joe, and his brothers Joey and Kyle to honor those words and continue the work Matt began. Matt’s brave journey ended on July 6, 2024 — but his light lives on through every family we support and every step toward a cure.
