Zaal Vasania

Zaal Vasania has a diverse background in military and technology, beginning as a Second Lieutenant in the Singapore Armed Forces from July 2018 to June 2020, where Zaal commanded a Motor Transport Platoon and organized training exercises. Transitioning into the tech field, Zaal has gained experience as a Machine Learning Researcher at MatX since December 2025, following roles as a Software Development Intern at Amazon and OMEGA POINT, a Data Science Intern at Crayon Data, and an Undergraduate Research Assistant at CMU’s Auton Lab. Zaal's academic credentials include an IB Diploma from UWC South East Asia and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, achieving a GPA of 3.9/4.0. Zaal is currently involved in research at Carnegie Mellon University's Robotics Institute, exploring adversarial attacks in self-driving technology.
