Rene Chavez has extensive experience in the design and sourcing field. Rene started their career in 1989 at Drawtex as a Graphic Designer, where they were responsible for creating various graphic designs and illustrations for prints in garments. Rene then worked as a Freelance Job, specializing in drawings and designs for a year before joining Maui and Sons in 1993. At Maui and Sons, Rene held the position of Head of Design Department and contributed to the sourcing and product development efforts of the company. Rene managed vendors, coordinated daily contact with suppliers, and ensured the smooth functioning of the department. Overall, Rene Chavez has a strong background in design and sourcing, with a diverse range of skills and experiences.
Rene Chavez has a diverse education history spanning several years. In 1979 to 1981, they attended Golden English Institute, where they completed an English Course and received approval. Following this, from 1985 to 1987, they studied Architecture at Universidad de Chile. Inacap was their next educational institution, where they focused on Marketing Drawing Design from 1987 to 1989. Rene continued their pursuit in Computer Graphic Design under the Mac platform at Centro de Extensión Universidad Católica de Chile during 1991 to 1992, specializing in Illustrator and Page Maker. In 1994 to 1995, Rene pursued Computer Graphic Design again, this time focusing on Photoshop at Centro de Extensión Universidad Católica de Chile. Additionally, they completed Full English Courses Approved at Instituto Chileno Norteamericano from 1997 to 2000. Currently, from 2021 to 2025, Rene is attending Universidad de Artes, Ciencias y Comunicación as an Architecture student.
