Jacob Varghese

Jacob Varghese has extensive work experience in the legal field. Jacob served as the Chief Executive Officer at Maurice Blackburn Lawyers from April 2017, and prior to that, held various roles within the company, including Principal, Senior Associate, and Lawyer, specializing in class actions and social justice. Jacob also worked as a Research Analyst - Law and Bills Digest at the Department of Parliamentary Services from November 2003 to January 2005. Additionally, they were a Lawyer and Articled Clerk at Maurice Blackburn Lawyers, focusing on medical negligence cases. Jacob's earlier experiences include serving as an Adviser to Nicola Roxon MP, Shadow Attorney-General for the Australian Labor Party, and holding leadership positions in both the National Union of Students and the Melbourne University Student Union.

Jacob Varghese completed their LLB (Hons) in Law at the University of Melbourne from 1995 to 2001.
