Emily Lewis

Emily Lewis has a diverse work experience in software engineering and web development. Emily currently works at Maven Clinic as a Senior Software Engineer, where they have been involved in the expansion and improvement of Maven Wallet. Emily has also served as co-lead of the Backend Discipline Guild, implementing code standard improvements across the company. Prior to Maven Clinic, Emily worked at Shapeways as a Senior Software Engineer, where they played a key role in the development of the Design with Shapeways site and the migration of file storage to a new platform. Emily also worked at Kognito as a Web Developer, where they modernized legacy code and developed new features. In addition, Emily has experience as a freelancer, creating websites and designs for small businesses. Emily started their career as a Broker's Assistant at McGathey Commodities, where they managed data and communication for brokers. Emily also has experience in the field of science, having worked at the American Museum of Natural History as a Developer and Curatorial Assistant, where they created a custom content management system. Emily began their career as an Intern in Online Sales at The End Records, where they handled customer inquiries and improved online sales.

Emily Lewis attended the University of Chicago from 2007 to 2013 and earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Geology/Earth Science, General. Prior to that, they studied at Phillips Academy Andover, although the specific dates and degrees obtained from that institution are unknown.
