Kara D. began their work experience in 2011 as a Consumer Marketing Coordinator at Bravo, NBC Universal, where they worked until 2013. In 2014, they interned as a Research Intern at MDRC. In 2015, they interned as a Government Innovation Intern at Bloomberg Philanthropies. Starting in 2017, Kara worked at NYU Langone Health, first as a Project Manager in Hospital Operations from January 2017 to December 2019, and then as a Hospital Operations Manager from 2019 to 2021. Since 2021, they have been working at Maven Clinic, first as a Director of Provider Community until July 2023, and now as the Director of Provider Success.
Kara D. has a diverse education history. Kara started by earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and Psychology from Duke University in 2007-2011. Kara then pursued further studies at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, where they completed a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a focus on Health Policy and Practice from 2013 to 2016. Following that, they attended Columbia Business School from 2014 to 2016, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA). Lastly, Kara D. enrolled in Teachers College, Columbia University in 2020-2024 and is currently pursuing a Master of Education (MEd) in Mental Health Counseling/Counselor.
