Gagan Biyani is an experienced entrepreneur and executive currently serving as CEO and Co-Founder of Maven, a platform focused on cohort-based courses, since September 2020. Prior to this role, Gagan took a sabbatical from June 2017 to August 2020 to travel extensively across Latin America, Asia, and Africa. Previous leadership experience includes serving as CEO of Sprig from April 2013 to July 2017 and co-founding the Growth Hackers Conference, which was sold in late 2013 to focus on Sprig. Gagan also played a crucial role at Lyft as Advisor and Interim Head of Demand Marketing, launching Lyft in Los Angeles and developing the company's first new market launch playbook. Earlier experiences include co-founding and serving as President of Udemy, reporting as a Mobile Writer for TechCrunch, and working as a Business Analyst at Accenture. Gagan laid the groundwork for an early entrepreneurial venture by founding the Mission San Jose High School Speech and Debate Institute, the largest novice speech and debate institute in the country, while still in high school. Gagan holds a BA in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
