Sharon Tharp has a vast work experience in the media industry. Sharon began their career as an Editorial Intern at J-14 in 2010 and later worked as a Writer at Alloy Media + Marketing. Sharon then served as a Freelance Writer for HollywoodLife.com and YourTango.com, where they focused on celebrity news and relationships. Sharon joined Ology Media Inc. in 2010 and held various roles such as Celebrity News Editor, Managing Editor, and eventually Editor-in-Chief. During their tenure, they oversaw the editorial vision of Ology.com and significantly increased traffic to the celebrity news channel. Sharon also worked as a Weekend Writer at Idolator.com and an Editor at Just Jared, Inc., where they wrote and edited daily news items and features on entertainment. In 2017, they joined Us Weekly as a Senior Editor, where they managed UsMagazine.com and oversaw writers and freelancers while collaborating with print and video teams. Sharon then became the Managing Editor of Digital Content at a360media in 2018. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Director, Editorial Growth at The Arena Group.

Sharon Tharp attained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Communication Studies from The College of New Jersey between 2005 and 2008.
