Fredrik Ekström

Fredrik Ekström is the co-founder and CEO of Maven Wireless. Fredrik has over 15 years of experience in the wireless industry, including stints as R&D Director and Head of the Swedish Division for Cobham Wireless and Director of Software Development for Infineon.

Ekström has a long history of successfully developing and managing wireless products and teams. Fredrik was responsible for the daily operations of Cobham's Swedish branch, which included R&D, network service, sales, IT and admin. The wireless division of Cobham was formed after the acquisition of Axell Wireless in May 2013. After the acquisition, the division operated within an earn-out phase until January 2015. Ekström successfully closed the earn-out with a 2014 revenue of £53M and a profit close to £10M.

Ekström also has extensive experience in developing embedded software for connectivity products, such as Bluetooth, DECT and WLAN. Fredrik has managed software development partners in Sweden, Holland and Germany. Currently, they are in the process of converting the current partner organization into an internal organization in Bangalore, India.

Fredrik Ekström has a M Sc in Electronics, Tele- & Datacom from The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University. Fredrik also has a University diploma in Electronics from University of Skövde. Finally, they have a degree from Stridsskola Nord in Umeå.
