Silvia Fierascu

Silvia Fierascu has held a number of roles in the past few years. In 2017, they were a Research Fellow at the Făgăraș Research Institute and a Research Fellow at the Department of Network and Data Science at CEU. Silvia also founded and served as CEO of Social Networks Research in the same year. In 2019, they were a Lecturer at West University of Timisoara, Director of FabLab - Social Fabrics Research Lab at UVT, and a Postdoctoral Researcher and Researcher at the Big Data Science Laboratory at West University of Timisoara. In 2020, they were Head of OrgMapper Academy at Maven7 (Maven Seven Network Research Inc.). In 2021, they became the Founding Curator of the Global Shapers Hub Timisoara and Head of Organizational Network Analysis (ONA) at Idealna suradnja. Silvia is currently a Population Forecasting Expert at the Executive Agency for Higher Education, Research, Development and Innovation Funding - UEFISCDI.

Silvia Fierascu has a broad educational background. Silvia obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Political Science and Network Science from Central European University between 2012 and 2017. Silvia also obtained a MA in Political Science from Central European University between 2009 and 2011. Prior to that, they obtained an Erasmus from University of the West of Scotland in Political Science and Government between 2008 and 2009. Silvia also obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from West University of Timisoara between 2006 and 2009. Additionally, they obtained an Advanced certificate of specialization in a Network Science from Central European University in June 2017 and a Certificate of specialization in the study of Political Research Methodology and Social Analysis from the Department of Political Science, Central European University in June 2011.
