Somi Alapati

Somi Alapati serves as the CTO of RAN Strategy and Solutions at Mavenir since May 2021, focusing on O-RAN Radio Solutions and Product Strategy while acting as a trusted advisor to the CEO and business unit heads. Previous roles include VP, Head of ORAN Solutions, Business Development, Strategy for North America at Mavenir and Vice President of Wireless Solutions at Ericsson, where Somi led technological strategies for major clients and developed key business solutions across various wireless applications. With a career spanning over 25 years in telecommunications, Somi has held various engineering and managerial positions at companies including Nortel, Samsung Telecommunications, and Motorola. Somi holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Warangal.
