Robert Gomez has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Robert started their career as a Geoscience Draftsman/CAD Operator at Amerada Hess Corp. Robert then worked as a Geoscience Systems Administrator at Transco Exploration & Production Co., where they administered hardware and software configurations and supported various applications for interpretational, mapping, and data management purposes.
From there, Robert joined Transworld Exploration & Production Co. as a Geoscience Systems Administrator, where they continued to administer departmental hardware/software configurations and installations and supported multiple applications. Robert then moved to Devon Energy Corp. as a Geoscience Database Administrator/Sr. Geoscience Systems Specialist and provided administrative services for hardware/software configurations and installations, as well as supported various applications for seismic, well control, and cartography purposes.
After leaving Devon Energy Corp., Robert worked at The Houston Exploration Co. as a UNIX Systems Administrator, where they administered hardware and software configurations and supported Geoframe and Energy Graphics application databases utilizing Oracle. Robert then joined Anadarko Petroleum Corp. as a Sr. Applications Support Analyst, where they provided user support and project preparation for interpretational purposes, as well as seismic data loading services.
Following their time at Anadarko Petroleum Corp., Robert worked at Halliburton Corp. as a Managing Consultant - Data Management, where they exported and imported seismic, interpretation, and well data for various projects. Robert implemented scripts and data formatting techniques for data conversion purposes.
Most recently, Robert worked at Remora Energy as a Sr. Geoscience/Engineering Data Analyst, where they provided extensive data management, mapping, and support for well control, seismic, and cartography. Robert used Autocad Map and BlueMarble for map creation and projection conversions.
Currently, Robert is working at Maverick Natural Resources, LLC as a Sr. Staff Geological and Engineering Technician.
Robert Gomez obtained their education from San Jacinto Jr. College. From 1981 to 1984, they earned an AAS degree and a Certificate of Technology in Engineering Drafting Technology. Later, they pursued studies in Computer Information Systems (Networking) from 1990 to 2001. During this time, they achieved an AAS degree, a Basic Networking Occupational Certificate, a Certificate of Technology, and an Advanced Networking Occupational Certificate.
