Matt Benton (Rudy)

Matt "Rudy" Benton has extensive experience in offensive security, currently serving as Lead Exploitation Analyst and Red Team Lead at Maveris since November 2018, where responsibilities include building and leading a Red Team for a large federal agency. Previously, Benton was the Offensive Security Engineer and Division Lead at INGRESSIVE, overseeing penetration tests and red team engagements from August 2016 to November 2018. As a Major in the Virginia Army National Guard, Benton held roles such as Operations Officer for the Battalion and Cyber OPFOR Branch Chief from May 2013 to April 2017. Additional positions include Senior InfoSec roles at L3 NSS / CACI and Northrop Grumman Corporation, and leading the U.S. Army Red Team and other positions within the Army. Benton holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Engineering and Electrical Engineering from Wheaton College and the Illinois Institute of Technology, respectively.
