Lior Pachter

Lior Pachter is a Scientific Advisor at Maverix Biomics. Lior was previously a UC Berkeley from June 2012 to July 2018 where they were the Raymond and Beverly Sackler Chair in Computational Biology. Pachter was also the Director of the Center for Computational Biology at UC Berkeley from January 2010 to June 2014. Lastly, Pachter was a Professor of Mathematics, Molecular & Cell Biology and Computer Science at UC Berkeley from August 1999 to July 2018.

Lior Pachter attended Palo Alto High School and Pretoria Boys High School before completing a B.S. in Mathematics at Caltech. Lior then went on to earn a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
