CJ Olivares has a wealth of experience in the media and sports industry. Starting in 1984, they worked for Triathlete Magazine as both Editorial Director and Editor. CJ then moved on to Inclyne Sports, where they served as Director of Development, creating sponsor-driven television programs and events. Olivares joined FOX Sports in 1996, holding positions such as Director of Operations and Director of Development. In 1999, they became CEO of Bluetorch, a sports media company. Olivares later founded and served as Founder and Co-CEO of FUEL TV, negotiating its sale in 2016. CJ also held executive roles at Street League Skateboarding & ETN Media and the World Surf League, where they restructured digital content and led the development of new digital experiences. Currently, Olivares is the President of MAVTV, working to reposition the business as the home of motorsports.
CJ Olivares has a BA in Political Science from UCLA. Prior to attending UCLA, they were a student at Mission Viejo High School.
