Ken Nicholson has a diverse work experience that spans over a decade. Ken has worked for several notable companies including Mawari, Uhnder, Qualcomm, AEye, Magic Leap, RGB Spectrum, Rambus and GE Global Research. Their roles during this period included Principal Architect and Engineering Lead, Senior Staff Engineer, 3D SW Consultant, Senior Staff Software Engineer, 3D Computer Vision Consultant, Lead GPU Software Manager, UX Development Consultant, Cloud System Software Architecture Consultant and 3D Visualization Engineering Consultant. During their tenure, they have managed and lead teams located in various countries such as the US, India and China. Their responsibilities involved developing a wide range of applications, tools and systems related to autonomous vehicles, augmented reality, display technologies, cloud-based analytics and smart data acceleration appliances. Ken has experience in various programming languages including C++, Python, JavaScript and React.

Ken Nicholson received their Associate of Arts degree in Drama from Foothill College from 1977 to 1980. Ken then attended Humboldt State University from 1981 to 1983, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater, Electronics, and microcomputers. Afterward, they went to the College of the Redwoods from 1983 to 1984 to study Electrical and Electronics Engineering, although they didn't complete a degree program. In addition, Ken has obtained some certifications, including the PADI Open Water Diver certification from PADI in December 2015, and the Amateur Radio General Class License from the Federal Communications Commission in September 2022.
