Rebekah Bowers has extensive experience in the field of medical laboratory science, currently serving as the Molecular Lead at MAWD Pathology Group since June 2020. Prior to this role, Rebekah worked as a Pre and Post Analytical Associate at Clinical Reference Laboratory from May 2018 to May 2020. Educationally, Rebekah obtained a degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Generalist from Kansas State University in 2019, supplemented by additional training at St. Luke’s Hospital in 2019.

MAWD Pathology is the largest provider of pathology and laboratory professional services in the Kansas City region, with 55 pathologists on staff caring for over 250,000 patients a year. MAWD offers unmatched and diverse advanced subspecialty expertise and employs many of the region's recognized leaders in subspecialty pathology. Every pathologist at MAWD is Board Certified by the American Board of Pathology and has at least one area of expert focus, even when board certification is not available. Dr. Samuel Caughron, President and CEO of MAWD Pathology Group, was the first board certified molecular genetic pathologist in the region. MAWD pathologists provide services to over 20 regional hospitals, 13 regional surgery and endoscopy centers, and over 900 physician offices. We are proud to be privately owned and managed by our pathologists and to have served the Kansas City region for over 50 years.
