Sultan Albarakati

Sultan Albarakati is an accomplished academic and industry leader currently serving as the Director of KAUST Academy and Assistant Professor at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology since June 2022. Sultan co-founded Decision Science Technology, a startup focused on optimization and data analytics, and has been its manager since January 2019. Additionally, Sultan has led the mathematics team for the international Olympiad for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since 2010, and the informatics team since 2018. Sultan has also contributed as a Data Analytics Consultant for the Education & Training Evaluation Commission of Saudi Arabia from June 2020 to September 2022, and managed the education sector at NEOM, where AI was introduced for K-12 education. Sultan's academic credentials include a PhD and a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics from KAUST, a Bachelor's of Science in Mathematics from Umm Al-Qura University, and participation in the Senior Executive Leadership Program at Harvard Business School scheduled for 2024.
