George Karanja

George Karanja has been working in the IT field since 2016. From 2016 to 2017, they worked as a Network Engineer at EveryLayer and an IT Support Technician at AccessKenya Group Limited. In 2017, they joined Mawingu Networks as an Infrastructure Transmission Engineer, where they were responsible for designing the company's Network architecture, Building Core Network Infrastructure, Setting up Tower and antenna works, configuration of core network equipment's, Setting up power setups on and off grid solar green energy, Designing and deploying ftth internet within power and loss budgets, installation of both overhead and underground OSP and inside premises fiber cabling deployment, Splicing, termination and testing of fiber links. George was also in charge of Internet installations and equipment configuration for SMEs and Corporate businesses, maintenance and providing on time support to the backbone connection and LAN where contracted, as well as Installation and configuration of internet Wi-Fi hotspots equipment (Mawingu Wi-Fi), support and maintenance in the streets of major towns of Kenya’s central region.

George Karanja completed a Bachelor's of Science in Information Technology from Murang'a University of Science and Technology in 2016, with a field of study in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications. George began their studies in 2012.
