Jon Traylor currently serves as the TACP Department Chief at MAWTS-1 since May 2022. Prior to this role, Jon held multiple positions with the United States Marine Corps, including Fires Chief and Platoon Sergeant from October 2019 to August 2022, and as an Advisor Skills Instructor for the Marine Corps Security Cooperation Group from August 2013 to October 2019, focusing on preparing Marine Advisors for deployment. Jon also worked as a JTAC/Targeting Chief, overseeing the execution of Kinetic and Non-Kinetic Effects during deployment in Afghanistan. Additional experience includes serving as the BN Fire Support Chief at Marine Corps Recruiting and as a Senior Instructor at the Marine Artillery School, where Jon delivered Basic Fire Support Instruction to entry-level students. Jon Traylor completed high school education at South County Career Center in 2004.
