Steve Groot

Steve Groot, CPA, has a diverse and extensive work experience in finance and accounting spanning over three decades. Steve is currently the VP Finance at Max Aicher (North America) since August 2023. Prior to this, they served as the CFO at Demand Power Group Inc. from September 2022 to July 2023.

Before joining Demand Power Group Inc., Steve held the position of Director of Finance and Business Development at Burloak Technologies Inc. from July 2020 to February 2022. Steve served as the Vice President, Finance at Mansour Mining Technologies Inc./DSI Undgerground Canada for six years from 2014 to 2020.

Steve's prior roles include Director of Finance at Bird Construction from March 2011 to November 2013, Corporate Controller at Carillion Canada Inc. from March 2007 to March 2011, and Corporate Controller and Treasurer at Magellan Aerospace Corporation from September 1999 to March 2007.

Their earlier positions include Controller at Canada Brick from February 1998 to September 1999, Controller at Austin Powder Company from May 1995 to February 1998, and Financial Analyst at Purolator Courier Limited from November 1992 to May 1995.

Steve Groot, CPA, completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Business from Wilfrid Laurier University, where they studied from 1986 to 1990. Prior to that, they attended Smithville District Christian High from 1981 to 1985.
