David Leonard

David Leonard has worked across a broad collection of projects with wide-ranging aspirations. Spun throughout them all is the same thread – communication is key.

Building relationships with the collaborators feeds into every aspect of the work, especially in the design. He loves solving engineering problems and takes pride in delivering to his client’s aspirations, but experience has shown him that the solutions are only as good as the paper they are written on. The collaborators need to interpret and understand the work before they can implement it effectively.

As an engineer and digital design specialist, his work includes developing the tools and documents that they use to communicate the solutions. Modeling in 3D within a BIM framework provides new opportunities to collaborate with peers and enhance the designs. I’m looking forward to realizing the advantages brought, for the benefit of design teams, contractors, and – most importantly – the clients.
