Billy McLaughlin

Billy McLaughlin is a seasoned semiconductor executive with a wealth of experience across various leadership roles in the industry. Currently serving as Vice President of Operations at The MAX Group, they also hold advisory positions at Cambridge Deeptech Labs and Silicon Catalyst. Previously, Billy co-founded III-V Epi and led operations as Chief Operations Officer at Quantum Science Ltd. They have a strong background in operations and business development, having held significant positions at companies like GLOBALFOUNDRIES and SmartKem Limited, among others. Billy earned a BEng (Hons) in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from the University of Glasgow and an MSc in Electronic Product Design and Manufacturing from the University of the West of Scotland.
