Alvin Magpantay

Alvin Magpantay has a diverse work experience that spans over two decades. Alvin currently holds the position of Director of Operations, Planning and Allocation at Carbon38 since September 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Planning and Allocation at Carbon38 from November 2021 to September 2022.

Before joining Carbon38, Alvin worked at ModCloth as the Director of Merchandise Planning from February 2020 to May 2021 and as a Senior Manager of Merchandise Planning from February 2019 to January 2020.

Alvin also gained valuable experience at Gap Inc/Gap, where they held several roles including Senior Manager of Global Planning from March 2017 to January 2019, Global Planning Manager from September 2015 to February 2017, and Planning Manager from October 2013 to August 2015.

Earlier in their career, Alvin worked at The Disney Store as a Senior Planner for E-commerce from September 2012 to October 2013 and as a Planner from June 2011 to September 2012. Alvin also served as a Planner at Guess from February 2010 to June 2011 and as a Merchandise Planner at Frederick's of Hollywood from June 2007 to January 2010.

Alvin's career began at Neiman Marcus Group, where they held various roles including Assistant Department Manager from January 2005 to May 2007, Merchandise Planner from July 2003 to December 2004, and Assistant Buyer from September 2000 to July 2003.

Alvin Magpantay obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and German from UCLA, where they attended from 1995 to 2000. As part of their undergraduate studies, they spent one year abroad at The University of Göttingen from 1998 to 1999, specializing in German and Political Science. Later, from 2008 to 2011, Alvin pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the USC Marshall School of Business.
