Ritvik Gupta is a PhD Scholar at the Max Planck Institute for Heart and Lung Research, focusing on the identification of extracellular matrix genes and their role in atrioventricular valve development in zebrafish. Prior experience includes positions as a Visiting Scholar and Associate Research Fellow at the Blue Marble Space Institute of Science, a Master Thesis Student at the Max Planck Institute, and participation in various conferences. Ritvik has also conducted research on potassium channels and transcriptional adaptation, developed a diagnostic kit for early detection of oral squamous cell carcinoma, and performed protein extraction and purification at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Mohali. Ritvik holds a BS-MS degree in Biology/Biological Sciences from IISER, Mohali, completed in June 2023.
