Paula Fikkert has extensive experience in linguistics, currently serving as Decaan van de Faculteit der Letteren and Professor of First Language Acquisition and Phonology and Dutch Linguistics at Radboud University since June 2002. Paula has held various leadership roles, including Research Director at the Center for Language Studies, where significant achievements included the reorganization of the institute and the establishment of a Graduate School for the Humanities. Fikkert has also contributed as an affiliate researcher at the Donders Institute and the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics, and served as a board member of NWO from 2017 to 2020. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Linguistics from Leiden University and a degree in Nederlandse Taal en Letterkunde from the University of Groningen.
