Karen Massier

Karen Massier serves as the Executive General Manager at AKG since December 2024 and has held a prominent role at MAX since July 2015 with responsibilities in Government Relations, Quality and Risk, as well as Strategy and Managing Director of Assessments Australia. Previously, Karen contributed to St Kilda Mums as a Board Member from 2017 to December 2023 and held a General Manager position at APM from September 2013 to June 2015. Early career milestones include General Manager roles at MAX from February 2008 to July 2013 and serving as Chief of Staff for Minister Sharman Stone from February 2006 to November 2008. Karen began the professional journey as an Adviser in various ministerial offices and culminated as a Director at the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations from February 1998 to November 2004. Karen holds a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from The Australian National University and a combined Law/Arts degree from Monash Law, completed in 1998.
