Bao Hoang is an accomplished aerospace engineer with extensive experience in the space industry. Currently serving as a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff at Maxar Technologies since June 2021, Bao previously held the position of Principal Engineer at SSL (Space Systems Loral) from November 2000 to June 2021, specializing in space environmental effects on solar arrays. Prior roles include Senior Project Engineer at TRW Space and Technology, focusing on solar array and battery design, as well as Senior Member of Technical Staff at Rockwell International, where responsibilities encompassed systems engineering for the Space Shuttle and design engineering for the International Space Station. Bao holds degrees from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona and the University of Southern California.
