Cecilia Lyon

Cecilia Lyon is an experienced technology leader currently serving as the Senior Manager of Software Development in the Systems Simulations Department at Maxar Technologies since June 2023. Prior to this role, Cecilia held significant positions, including Senior Engineering Manager at Course Hero and Software Development Manager at Cengage Learning, where collaboration with product managers was crucial for the development of the Mindtap digital product portfolio. At Space Systems Loral, Cecilia revitalized the Systems Simulation team and oversaw a large group while also leading projects that involved the development of cutting-edge simulators. Additional experience includes roles at Orbital Network Engineering and Agilent Technologies, along with a foundational role as an R&D Engineer at Space Systems Loral. Cecilia earned a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo and has been engaged in coding education since 2015.
