Kirby Chung

Kirby Chung is a seasoned technical expert with extensive experience in satellite and systems design, currently serving as Technical Director and Proposal Manager at Maxar Technologies since 2017. In this role, Kirby leads teams in engineering innovative applications of advanced technology and oversees proposal development to create compelling value propositions in a competitive market. Prior experience includes serving as Advanced Systems Engineering Manager at SSL, where responsibilities encompassed the design of satellite payload and communications systems, and as Payload Systems Engineer and Manager at LORAL Space & Communications, focused on integration and testing of satellite communication payloads. Earlier roles at TRW Defense & Space Systems Group involved antenna and RF engineering, while Kirby began a career in the United States Air Force as a commissioned officer, managing payload engineering for defense satellite communications. Kirby holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
