Steve Westdal

Steve Westdal is an accomplished electrical engineering professional with extensive experience in power electronics and design management. Currently serving as the Sr. Manager of Bus Electronics Design at Maxar Technologies since August 2019, Steve oversees a team of 10 engineers and fosters their growth through regular one-on-one meetings. Prior to this, Steve held the position of Sr. Staff Power Electronics Design Engineer at Maxar Technologies, contributing to the high-power Power and Propulsion Element project. Previous roles include Electrical Engineer at Astronics AES, where Steve worked on advanced aircraft electrical power systems, Power Supply Design Engineer at Rantec Power Systems, and Electrical and Avionics Engineer at Insitu, where significant contributions were made to UAV systems. Steve holds a degree from the University of Portland.
