Isabelle Pauwels

Isabelle Pauwels has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Isabelle started their career as a Scientific Researcher at UZ Brussel in 1993 and worked there until 1997. Following that, they joined Deloitte Belgium as a Consultant, eventually becoming a Manager in Enterprise Risk Services from 2002 to 2005. In 2005, Isabelle moved on to Emmaus where they served as the Head of Internal Audit until 2007. Isabelle then joined Siemens as a Senior Internal Auditor until 2009 when they joined Maxeda as a Risk Manager for DIY BE. Isabelle held this role until 2015 when they were promoted to the position of Director of Risk Management and Internal Audit at Maxeda DIY Group.

Isabelle Pauwels has a Master in Applied Economics from KU Leuven, which they obtained in the years 1988 to 1992. Isabelle later pursued further education at the Flemish Institute of Management, Vlekho Business School Brussel, where they earned a Master of Management from 1992 to 1993. In 2001 to 2002, Pauwels completed a postgraduate program in Risk Management at Amelior Kortrijk & Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. Most recently, they attended the Data Protection Institute in 2018 to obtain certification as a Data Protection Officer.
